Toasting to Spring:
Évora and its surroundings hold some of the country’s best wine secrets. At this time of year, wineries take advantage of the good weather for special events:

Évora Wine: This is a must-attend event for wine lovers. Praça do Giraldo transforms into a huge showcase of Alentejo wines. You can taste hundreds of labels, take part in showcookings with local chefs, and discover the latest harvests in a festive atmosphere.
Marquês de Borba Wine Fest (May): Held at the prestigious Vila Santa Winery (João Portugal Ramos) in Estremoz, this is one of the most anticipated events of the year. It is a vibrant celebration featuring tastings of iconic wines, live music, and outstanding regional cuisine in a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere.
A Day at Casa Relvas (Herdade de São Miguel): Located in Redondo, Casa Relvas offers the perfect spring day out. You can take a walk through the vineyards or explore them by jeep, visit the winery, and finish with a typically Alentejo-style lunch paired with the estate’s wines. It is the ultimate expression of slow living.
